What is your process for hiring tutors?
The safety of our students comes first. Before being hired, each tutor is background checked on a local and federal level. They also are interviewed in-person to try to ensure their philosophy about the safety and the potential of our students matches our company philosophy. Our tutors will have different styles, but all will have the common goal of helping our students gain the keys necessary to unlock their minds and life. Our tutors will also be role-models for their students as learning includes learning about life and the strategies needed to be successful academically and socially.
Who is behind Guide and Inspire Tutors?
All of us here consider tutoring a calling, including our Founder. Robert Pham graduated with Honors from the University of Michigan where he was a Hopwood award-winning writer and Pre-medicine student. Having a chance to be an Air Force surgeon studying at Baylor College of Medicine, he opted for the work-life balance of business. This company is a passion project for Mr. Robert as what started as a source of side-income (he’s an ex-middle school Science teacher) became a mission after he witnessed first-hand the profound impact his tutoring efforts have made on his students’ lives.
